Job Description
The Analyst Program is a two-year full-time employment program designed for early-career professionals who are motivated to build a long-term career in private markets. The program begins with a three-week tailored training module and continues with hands-on learning, close collaboration with experienced investment professionals, and structured on-the-job development. Participants who perform strongly may have the opportunity to continue their career at LGT Capital Partners as an Associate.
The position is available in Switzerland near Zurich and the anticipated start date is 1 July 2027.
The dedicated LGT Capital Partners Infrastructure team based across three investment offices in key geographies is fully integrated into the broader LGT Capital Partners Private Equity practice. The infrastructure strategy invests across primary fund commitments, LP and GP secondaries, and direct co-investments, across a wide range of geographies and sectors but all with a combination of solid downside protection with strong growth potential.
Sustainability considerations are embedded throughout the infrastructure investment process. At both manager and asset level, the team evaluates topics such as decarbonization, climate and operational resilience, environmental and social impact, and the long-term sustainability of essential infrastructure assets. Through the Analyst Program, you will gain practical exposure to how these factors inform investment analysis, risk assessment and long-term value creation.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, which originates, assesses, executes and monitors infrastructure funds through the primary and secondary markets as well as co-investment transactions globally. This is an opportunity to join the team at a relatively early stage in its lifecycle and contribute to the long-term success of the strategy.
In this role, you will support the team across the full infrastructure investment lifecycle, including: Assessing primary fund, secondary and co-investment opportunities through financial modelling, commercial analysis, manager and asset-level due diligence, and evaluation of risk and return drivers; Analyzing infrastructure companies and projects across sectors such as energy transition, transport, digital infrastructure, utilities and other essential services, with particular attention to cash-flow resilience, leverage, regulation, inflation protection and downside scenarios; Supporting transaction execution from initial screening through due diligence, investment committee approval, structuring, documentation and closing, in collaboration with internal legal, tax, compliance and ESG specialists; Monitoring existing investments, reviewing financial and operational performance, maintaining investment data and preparing portfolio updates and materials for team, investment committee and client discussions; Conducting market, sector and competitor research, maintaining the opportunity pipeline and contributing to team meetings and other strategic or ad hoc initiatives.
